A nomination is made exclusively by the independent expert jury or by invited institutions. Self-applications are possible in certain categories but are reviewed separately. The nomination is not a guarantee of an award, but the official inclusion in the shortlist.

The evaluation is carried out according to a fixed points system that includes the categories of artistic quality, social impact, innovation, and sustainability. The exact weightings can be seen in the respective criteria catalog of the call for entries. The jury's decision is final and cannot be contested.

Generally, no fee is charged for submitting projects or applications. Exceptions are optional services such as an extended project presentation at the gala or a professional feedback report. These are clearly marked in the registration form.

All data collected in the context of the application or event is used exclusively for the purpose of the award ceremony and related communication. Data is only passed on to third parties with explicit consent. Please refer to our privacy policy for details.

Should a planned gala or award ceremony have to be canceled due to force majeure or unforeseen circumstances, all nominees and participants will be informed immediately. Any payments already made for optional services will be refunded in full. There is no entitlement to a later date.

A prize can only be shared in exceptional cases and by unanimous jury decision. After the official announcement of the winners, any change or revocation of the award is excluded, unless there is demonstrably false information or a violation of the terms of participation.
